No inducement to be offered
Full Text
(1) No police officer or other person in authority shall offer or make, or cause to be offered or made, any such inducement, threat or promise as is mentioned in section 22 of the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023.
(2) But no police officer or other person shall prevent, by any caution or otherwise, any person from making in the course of any investigation under this Chapter any statement which he may be disposed to make of his own free will:
Provided that nothing in this sub-section shall affect the provisions of sub-section (4) of section 183.

(1) कोई भी पुलिस अधिकारी या अधिकार रखने वाला अन्य व्यक्ति ऐसा कोई प्रलोभन, धमकी या वचन नहीं देगा या नहीं करेगा, या दिए जाने या किए जाने का कारण नहीं बनेगा, जैसा भारतीय साक्ष्य अधिनियम, 2023 की धारा 22 में उल्लिखित है।
(2) लेकिन कोई भी पुलिस अधिकारी या अन्य व्यक्ति किसी भी व्यक्ति को इस अध्याय के अधीन किसी भी जांच के दौरान ऐसा कोई बयान देने से, जो वह अपनी स्वतंत्र इच्छा से देने के लिए प्रवृत्त हो, किसी चेतावनी या अन्यथा द्वारा नहीं रोकेगा:
परंतु इस उपधारा की कोई भी बात धारा 183 की उपधारा (4) के प्रावधानों को प्रभावित नहीं करेगी।
