Exposure and abandonment of child under twelve years of age, by parent or person having care of it.
Full Text
Whoever, being the father or mother of a child under the age of twelve years, or having the care of such child, shall expose or leave such child in any place with the intention of wholly abandoning such child, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to seven years, or with fine, or with both.

बारह वर्ष से कम आयु के शिशु के पिता या माता या उसकी देखरेख रखने वाले व्यक्ति द्वारा उसका परित्याग और आरक्षित किया जाना।\nजो कोई बारह वर्ष से कम आयु के शिशु का पिता या माता होते हुए या ऐसे शिशु की देखरेख रखते हुए, ऐसे शिशु का पूर्णतः परित्याग करने के आशय से उसे किसी स्थान में आरक्षित छोड़ देगा या छोड़ देगा, वह दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि सात वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, या जुर्माने से, या दोनों से दंडित किया जाएगा ।
