Whoever removes, destroys, defaces or adds to any property mark, intending or knowing it to be likely that he may thereby cause injury to any person, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine, or with both.

जो कोई किसी संपत्ति चिह्न को इस आशय से या यह जानते हुए हटाएगा, नष्ट करेगा, विरूपित करेगा या उसमें कुछ जोड़ेगा कि तद्द्वारा किसी व्यक्ति को क्षति पहुंचाना संभाव्य है, वह किसी एक अवधि के लिए कारावास से, जिसे एक वर्ष तक बढ़ाया जा सकता है, या जुर्माने से, या दोनों से दंडित किया जाएगा।
