Wrongful confinement.

(1) Whoever wrongfully restrains any person in such a manner as to prevent that person from proceeding beyond certain circumscribing limits, is said "wrongfully to confine" that person.\n(2) Whoever wrongfully confines any person shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine which may extend to five thousand rupees, or with both.

सदोष परिरोध।\n(1) जो कोई किसी व्यक्ति का इस प्रकार सदोष अवरोध करता है कि उस व्यक्ति को निश्चित परिसीमाओं से परे जाने से रोक दे, वह उस व्यक्ति का "सदोष परिरोध" करता है, यह कहा जाता है ।\n(2) जो कोई किसी व्यक्ति का सदोष परिरोध करेगा, वह दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि एक वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, या जुर्माने से, जो पांच हजार रुपये तक का हो सकेगा, या दोनों से दंडित किया जाएगा ।
