Report how submitted

Full Text

(1) Every report sent to a Magistrate under section 176 shall, if the State Government so directs, be submitted through such superior officer of police as the State Government, by general or special order, appoints in that behalf.

(2) Such superior officer may give such instructions to the officer in charge of the police station as he thinks fit, and shall, after recording such instructions on such report, transmit the same without delay to the Magistrate.

(1) धारा 176 के अधीन मजिस्ट्रेट को भेजी गई प्रत्येक रिपोर्ट, यदि राज्य सरकार ऐसा निर्देश देती है, तो पुलिस के ऐसे वरिष्ठ अधिकारी के माध्यम से प्रस्तुत की जाएगी जिसे राज्य सरकार, साधारण या विशेष आदेश द्वारा, उस निमित्त नियुक्त करती है।

(2) ऐसा वरिष्ठ अधिकारी पुलिस थाने के भारसाधक अधिकारी को ऐसे निर्देश दे सकता है जो वह ठीक समझे, और ऐसी रिपोर्ट पर ऐसे निर्देशों को अभिलिखित करने के बाद, उसे बिना विलंब के मजिस्ट्रेट को प्रेषित करेगा।
