Full Text
85. Whoever, being the husband or the relative of the husband of a woman, subjects such woman to cruelty shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years and shall also be liable to fine.

85. जो कोई, किसी महिला के पति या पति के रिश्तेदार (नातेदार) होते हुए, ऐसी महिला के प्रति क्रूरता करेगा, उसे किसी एक अवधि के कारावास से, जो तीन वर्ष तक का हो सकता है, दंडित किया जाएगा और वह जुर्माने के लिए भी उत्तरदायी होगा।
