84. Whoever takes or entices away any woman who is and whom he knows or has reason to believe to be the wife of any other man, with intent that she may have illicit intercourse with any person, or conceals or detains with that intent any such woman, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both.

84. जो कोई किसी ऐसी महिला को, जो किसी अन्य पुरुष की पत्नी है और जिसे वह जानता है या विश्वास करने का कारण रखता है कि वह किसी अन्य पुरुष की पत्नी है, इस आशय से ले जाएगा या फुसलाकर ले जाएगा कि वह किसी व्यक्ति के साथ अवैध संभोग (मैथुन) करे, या उस आशय से ऐसी किसी महिला को छुपाएगा या निरुद्ध (हिरासत में) रखेगा, उसे किसी एक अवधि के कारावास से, जो दो वर्ष तक का हो सकता है, या जुर्माने से, या दोनों से दंडित किया जाएगा।
