Mischief by intentionally running vessel aground or ashore

Whoever intentionally runs any vessel aground or ashore, intending to commit theft of any property contained therein or to dishonestly misappropriate any such property, or with intent that such theft or misappropriation of property may be committed, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.

जो कोई किसी जलयान में रखी किसी संपत्ति की चोरी करने या ऐसी संपत्ति का बेईमानी से दुर्विनियोग करने के आशय से, या इस आशय से कि ऐसी चोरी या संपत्ति का दुर्विनियोग किया जा सके, किसी जलयान को जानबूझकर भूमि पर या किनारे पर चढ़ा देगा, वह दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि दस वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, दंडित किया जाएगा और जुर्माने से भी दंडनीय होगा।
