Full Text
Whoever gives to any public servant any information which he knows or believes to be false, intending thereby to cause... use of lawful power to the injury or annoyance of any person, shall be punished with imprisonment... for six months, or with fine which may extend to ten thousand rupees, or with both.

लोक सेवक को किसी अन्य व्यक्ति को क्षति पहुँचाने के लिए अपनी शक्ति का प्रयोग करने के आशय से मिथ्या सूचना देना।\nजो कोई किसी लोक सेवक को ऐसी सूचना देगा जिसे वह झूठा जानता है, इस आशय से कि लोक सेवक अपनी शक्ति का प्रयोग किसी अन्य को क्षति पहुँचाने के लिए करे... वह छह माह के कारावास या दस हजार रुपये के जुर्माने से दंडित होगा ।
