194. Affray.

(1) When two or more persons, by fighting in a public place, disturb the public peace, they are said to commit an affray.

(2) Whoever commits an affray, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one month, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both.

194. दंगा (दंगामारी)।

(1) जब दो या अधिक व्यक्ति किसी सार्वजनिक स्थान पर लड़कर लोक शांति (सार्वजनिक शांति) में विघ्न डालते हैं, तब उनके बारे में यह कहा जाता है कि वे दंगा (दंगामारी) का अपराध करते हैं।

(2) जो कोई दंगा करेगा, वह दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि एक महीने तक की हो सकेगी, या जुर्माने से, जो एक हजार रुपये तक का हो सकेगा, या दोनों से, दंडित किया जाएगा।
