Punishment for rioting.

(1) Whoever is guilty of rioting shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both.\n(2) Whoever is guilty of rioting, being armed with a deadly weapon or with anything which, used as a weapon of offence, is likely to cause death, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years, or with fine, or with both.

बलवा के लिए दंड।\n(1) जो कोई बलवा करने का दोषी होगा, वह दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि दो वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, या जुर्माने से, या दोनों से दंडित किया जाएगा ।\n(2) जो कोई घातक आयुध से या किसी ऐसी चीज से, जिसे अपराध के आयुध के रूप में उपयोग किए जाने पर मृत्यु कारित होना संभावित हो, सज्जित होकर बलवा करने का दोषी होगा, वह दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि तीन वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, या जुर्माने से, या दोनों से दंडित किया जाएगा ।
