Punishment for assault or criminal force otherwise than on grave provocation.

Whoever assaults or uses criminal force to any person otherwise than on grave and sudden provocation given by that person, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine which may extend to ten thousand rupees, or with both.

गंभीर प्रकोपन से अन्यथा हमला करने या आपराधिक बल का प्रयोग करने के लिए दंड।\nजो कोई उस व्यक्ति द्वारा दिए गए गंभीर और अचानक प्रकोपन के बिना, किसी व्यक्ति पर हमला करेगा या आपराधिक बल का प्रयोग करेगा, वह दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि एक वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, या जुर्माने से, जो दस हजार रुपये तक का हो सकेगा, या दोनों से दंडित किया जाएगा ।
