Voluntarily causing hurt or grievous hurt on provocation.
Full Text
Whoever voluntarily causes hurt or grievous hurt on grave and sudden provocation, if he neither intends nor knows himself to be likely to cause hurt to any person other than the person who gave the provocation, shall be punished with imprisonment or fine or both.

प्रकोपन पर स्वेच्छया उपहति या घोर उपहति कारित करना।\nजो कोई गंभीर और अचानक प्रकोपन पर स्वेच्छया उपहति या घोर उपहति कारित करेगा, यदि उसका न तो आशय हो और न वह जानता हो कि यह संभाव्य है कि वह उस व्यक्ति के सिवाय जिसने प्रकोपन दिया था, किसी अन्य व्यक्ति को उपहति कारित कर दे, वह कारावास या जुर्माने या दोनों से दंडित किया जाएगा ।
