Full Text
(1) Any person, who fails to report the commission of an offence under sub-section (1) of section 19 or section 20 or who fails to record such offence under sub-section (2) of section 19 shall be punished with imprisonment of either description which may extend to six months or with fine or with both.
(2) Any person, being in-charge of any company or an institution (by whatever name called) who fails to report the commission of an offence under sub-section (1) of section 19 in respect of a subordinate under his control, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year and with fine.
(3) The provisions of sub-section (1) shall not apply to a child under this Act.

(1) कोई भी व्यक्ति, जो धारा 19 की उपधारा (1) या धारा 20 के अधीन किसी अपराध के किए जाने की रिपोर्ट करने में विफल रहता है अथवा जो धारा 19 की उपधारा (2) के अधीन ऐसे अपराध को दर्ज करने में विफल रहता है, वह किसी एक अवधि के कारावास से, जो छह मास तक हो सकेगा, या जुर्माने से, या दोनों से, दंडित किया जाएगा।
(2) कोई भी व्यक्ति, जो किसी कंपनी या संस्था (चाहे किसी भी नाम से ज्ञात हो) का प्रभारी होते हुए, अपने नियंत्रणाधीन किसी अधीनस्थ के संबंध में धारा 19 की उपधारा (1) के अधीन अपराध किए जाने की रिपोर्ट करने में विफल रहता है, वह किसी एक अवधि के कारावास से, जो एक वर्ष तक हो सकेगा, और जुर्माने से दंडित किया जाएगा।
(3) उपधारा (1) के उपबंध इस अधिनियम के अधीन किसी बालक पर लागू नहीं होंगे।
