Where in any suit a set-off or counter-claim is established as a defence against the plaintiff’s claim and any balance is found due to the plaintiff or the defendant, as the case may be, the Court may give judgment to the party entitled to such balance.

जहां किसी वाद में वादी के दावे के विरुद्ध प्रतिरक्षा के रूप में मुजराई या प्रतिदावा स्थापित हो जाता है और कोई अतिशेष (Balance) यथास्थिति, वादी या प्रतिवादी को शोध्य पाया जाता है, वहां न्यायालय उस पक्षकार के पक्ष में निर्णय दे सकेगा जो ऐसे अतिशेष का हकदार है।
