Stalking.

(1) Any man who—\n(i) follows a woman and contacts, or attempts to contact such woman to foster personal interaction repeatedly despite a clear indication of disinterest by such woman; or\n(ii) monitors the use by a woman of the internet, email or any other form of electronic communication,\ncommits the offence of stalking.\n(2) Whoever commits the offence of stalking shall be punished on first conviction with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years, and shall also be liable to fine; and be punished on a second or subsequent conviction, with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to five years, and shall also be liable to fine.

पीछा करना।\n(1) कोई पुरुष जो—\n(i) किसी स्त्री का पीछा करता है और ऐसी स्त्री द्वारा अनिच्छा प्रकट किए जाने के बावजूद व्यक्तिगत संसर्ग बढ़ाने के लिए ऐसी स्त्री से बार-बार संपर्क करता है या संपर्क करने का प्रयत्न करता है ; या\n(ii) किसी स्त्री द्वारा इंटरनेट, ईमेल या इलेक्ट्रॉनिक संचार के किसी अन्य रूप के प्रयोग पर निगरानी रखता है,\nवह पीछा करने का अपराध करता है ।\n(2) जो कोई पीछा करने का अपराध करेगा, वह प्रथम सिद्धदोषी पर दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि तीन वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, और जुर्माने से भी दंडनीय होगा और द्वितीय या पश्चात्वर्ती सिद्धदोषी पर दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि पाँच वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, और जुर्माने से भी दंडनीय होगा ।
