188. Taking coining tool from mint.
Whoever, without lawful authority, takes out of any mint, lawfully established in India, any coining tool or instrument, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to seven years, and shall also be liable to fine.

188. टंकशाल (Mint) से कोई सिक्का निर्माण का उपकरण बाहर ले जाना।
जो कोई किसी टंकशाल से, जो भारत में विधिपूर्वक स्थापित हो, सिक्का निर्माण का कोई उपकरण या औजार बिना विधिपूर्ण प्राधिकार के बाहर ले जाएगा, वह दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि सात वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, दंडित किया जाएगा और जुर्माने के लिए भी दायी होगा।
