Erasure of mark denoting that stamp has been used.

Whoever, fraudulently or with intent to cause loss to the Government, erases or removes from a Government stamp any mark, which has been made on such stamp for the purpose of denoting that the same has been used, or knowingly has in his possession a Government stamp from which such mark has been erased or removed, or sells or utters any such Government stamp, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to three years, or with fine, or with both.

स्टांप के उपयोग किए जाने के चिह्न को मिटाना।\nजो कोई कपटपूर्वक या सरकार को हानि पहुंचाने के आशय से, किसी सरकारी स्टांप से कोई ऐसा चिह्न मिटाएगा या हटाएगा जो यह दर्शाने के लिए बनाया गया है कि इसका उपयोग किया जा चुका है, या जानते हुए ऐसा कोई स्टांप अपने कब्जे में रखेगा या बेचेगा, वह दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि तीन वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, या जुर्माने से, या दोनों से दंडित किया जाएगा ।
